Yes, you can total your Subway calories with the calculator above. Pick your sandwich, add a side or drink, and it gives a meal total in calories. Subway publishes its own US nutrition information, so check each value there before you rely on the number.
How to use the calculator
- Choose your sandwich or wrap from the first list.
- Pick 6-inch or footlong.
- Set the quantity. Use 2 if you are ordering for two people.
- Add a side, cookie, or drink if you want one.
- Type any extra calories for cheese, sauce or toppings in the Extras box.
- Press Calculate calories.
Your menu item not on the list? Choose Custom value. Then type the calories per item from Subway’s page.
The result shows your total first. Below it you see each line and the share of a 2,000-calorie reference day. That reference is a general figure used on US food labels. It is not a target for you. [CHECK: confirm 2,000-calorie wording against the FDA page]
How the calculation works
The maths is simple addition and multiplication.
- For each item: calories per item x quantity.
- Footlongs: the 6-inch value x 2. This is an estimate.
- Meal total: add every item, then add your extras.
- Share of the day: total calories divided by 2,000.
The calorie values come from Subway’s US menu nutrition information. [CHECK: preset values match the live Subway page]. Subway can change recipes and menus. The official page is always the source to trust.
Worked example
These numbers are round examples to show the steps. They are not Subway data.
- Sandwich: 300 calories, 6-inch, quantity 1 = 300
- Chips: 200 calories, quantity 1 = 200
- Cookie: 150 calories, quantity 2 = 300
- Extra sauce: 50
Total: 300 + 200 + 300 + 50 = 850 calories. Divide by 2,000 and you get 42.5%, which the tool rounds to 43%.
Now make the sandwich a footlong. The sandwich line becomes 300 x 2 = 600. The total rises to 1,150 calories. Size is the biggest lever in this example.

Tips and common mistakes
- Forgetting sauce and cheese. They add calories. Use the Extras box and look up each one on Subway’s page.
- Assuming a footlong is exactly double. It is close, not always exact. For a precise number, enter the footlong value as a custom item.
- Skipping the drink. A sugary drink can add a lot. Water adds none.
- Using old numbers. Menus change. Re-check the official page now and then.
- Ignoring the bread. Bread choice changes the total. [CHECK: whether Subway’s page lists calories by bread type]
- Treating one meal as a verdict. One total tells you little on its own. For personal advice on food, talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian.

FAQ
Is there a Subway calorie calculator?
Yes. Subway publishes nutrition information for its US menu, and this page gives you a calculator that adds up a meal total from preset or custom calorie values. Always check each value against Subway’s official US nutrition page.
Is the Subway calorie count accurate?
Published counts are for a standard build. Your sandwich can differ because of how much sauce, cheese or meat is added, so treat any total as an estimate. [CHECK: Subway’s own wording on variation and rounding]
What is the lowest calorie thing at Subway?
Plain water has no calories. Among the sandwich presets in this tool, the Veggie Delite has the lowest number. Compare the full menu on Subway’s official nutrition page, because the menu changes. [CHECK: current lowest-calorie items]
How do I figure out Subway calories?
Look up each part of your order on Subway’s US nutrition page, multiply by the quantity, and add the results. The calculator does this for you.
Is a footlong double the calories of a 6-inch?
Roughly, but not always exactly. The tool uses a 2x estimate for footlongs. For an exact number, use the footlong value from Subway’s page and enter it as a custom value. [CHECK: footlong values on Subway’s page]
